During Jesus’ ministry he had many individuals who approached him ready to follow him, except they needed to take care of “things” first. Jesus knew their hearts and they were not sincere and Jesus dismissed them by telling them there will be hard times while following him. But to his disciples he reminded them when those times come, you need to ‘trust me and follow my teachings’ Following Jesus isn’t something we do when convenient. It is something we put first, something that guides what we do, it is the way we know how to live a full filled life.
