It’s not unusual for even seasoned Christians to struggle with matters of faith when confronted by pain and suffering. Where is God? Why doesn’t He do something? Doubt can easily flourish in the midst of such unanswered questions. As Jesus prepared His disciples for what was to come in Jerusalem, He wanted them to keep Him the focus of their attention when there would be so many distractions tempting them to doubt God’s purpose and plan. When doubts arise, don’t doubt His presence and never doubt His love.
